This position offers an exciting opportunity within an innovative, employee-oriented company What We Offer: Flexible Schedules Extended health benefits Dental coverage Vision coverage Life Insurance Eligibility towards Group Retirement Savings Plan contributions Employee Appreciation Event_ Please note that this position requires 100% in office - no remote work _ Duties & Responsibilities: Monitors and evaluates the workplace to ensure compliance with provincial Workers Compensation Act and OHS regulations Coordinate and deliver EHS related training (WHMIS, PPE use, etc) to reduce accidents, occupational illnesses and exposure to long-term health hazards. Support Joint Health and Safety Committee activities, including meetings, agendas etc. Performs Personal Protective Equipment assessments and risk assessments associated with tools, equipment, and work environments Collaborates with leaders to investigate incidents, identify root causes incidents and develops recommendations and follow-up to prevent recurrences. Promote a positive safety culture and environmental stewardship across all levels of the organization Conducts training and presentations for health and safety matters Coordinate return to work such as daily/weekly check-ins with the injured worker, assist in finding accommodations as directed by the Safety Manager. Perform other duties as assigned Qualified candidates must possess: Knowledge of WorkSafeBC OHS Regulation and related standards Valid Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Intermediate First Aid A minimum of 1-2 years of manufacturing related safety experience Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management or Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance or related National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification or equivalent desired High level of computer literacy and application skills in MS Office Exceptional organizational skills, able to prioritize, detail oriented Ability to multi-task and work efficiently Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Able to work independently and as part of a team Great reliability and professionalism Positive attitude and willingness to learnJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $25.00-$35.00 per hourBenefits: Extended health care Paid time off Vision careFlexible language requirement: French not requiredSchedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to FridayExperience: Manufacturing Safety: 1 year (required) WorkSafeBC OHS Regulations and related standards?: 1 year (required)Licence/Certification: Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Intermediate First Aid (required)Work Location: In person
