Business Analyst Financial Applications

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Business Analyst, Financial Applications with its Ottawa-based customerWork LocationThe successful candidate will be required to work on-site at the customer headquarters in Gatineau, QC/Ottawa, ON.Key TasksAct as the primary contact for ERP and financial applications issues escalated beyond standard support processes.Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day system issues to support stakeholders on new requests or incidents related to Financial Applications.Collaborate with a team of Business and Systems Analysts to support and maintain ERP and financial applications through configuration, incident resolution, and features development.Analyze business processes and system workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or areas for improvement.Develop hands on knowledge of the ERP and other Financial Applications to investigate issues, identify root causes, and drive resolutions.Perform impact analysis across modules and systems to ensure changes are sustainable, compliant, and aligned with business goals.Act as the liaison between Finance, Operational business units, Technical teams and Vendors.Facilitate the collection of business requirements, understand, analyze, and translate them into system requirements, configurations, and customizations.Participate in the collection and presentation of evidence to support the organization's audit cycles. Key QualificationsBetween 3 and 5 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, supporting ERP or financial systems.Strong knowledge of core ERP enabled business cycles, more specifically accounting, procurement and accounts payables cycles.Skilled in navigating complex, fast-paced organizational landscapes, collaborating across functions to meet urgent and shifting stakeholder requirements and priorities.Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.Ability to identify problems and deal with situations and issues proactively.Demonstrate a critical and creative mindset with all new requests received from stakeholders.Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills.Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a conscientious, consistent, and thorough manner.Functional experience with ERP systems such as IFS, D365, SAP would be considered an asset.Finance, Accounting or related degree would be considered a strong asset.
