The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, optimizing, and supporting the Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS) platform, ensuring alignment between business requirements and system functionality across front-, middle-, and back-office operations.This role requires a strong understanding of trading workflows, order management, compliance, and portfolio management processes, along with hands-on experience in CRIMS configuration, not necessarily full code development.Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure and maintain Charles River modules (Trading, Compliance, Manager Workbench, Blotter, and OMS workflows).Translate business requirements into CRIMS configurations and rules in collaboration with Portfolio Managers and Traders.Manage workflow rules, instrument defaults, user setup, privileges, import/export translations, data validation, and batch imports.Configure pre- and post-trade compliance rules, AS-OF setups, and compliance testing.Develop and maintain custom solutions, queries, and result sets within CRIMS.Coordinate CRIMS version upgrades and patch testing, including regression and integration validation.Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and escalate to Charles River support when necessary.Collaborate with internal IT, business users, and vendors to deliver enhancements and maintenance.Maintain technical and configuration documentation for all CRIMS modules.Participate in UAT testing, environment refreshes, and data migration validation.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline.5+ years of technology experience, with 3+ years on Charles River (CRIMS) version 20R1 or higher.Strong understanding of trade booking lifecycle, order workflows, and compliance configurations.Hands-on experience with CRIMS configuration including workflows, compliance rules, data validation, and user provisioning.Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across global teams.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience in front-office support interacting with Traders, Portfolio Managers, and Operations teams.Familiarity with design patterns, data mapping, and environment management within Charles River.Exposure to Azure Cloud or other infrastructure platforms.Knowledge of fixed income, equities, and derivatives trading processes.Experience coordinating with Charles River Development (CRD) for patches and enhancements.Soft SkillsAnalytical problem-solver with strong attention to detail.Self-starter with a mentorship mindset and commitment to best practices.Excellent documentation, stakeholder communication, and process ownership.The pay range for this role is $120,000- $135,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
