Application Support Engineer

Role: Application EngineerLocation: Toronto(Hybrid - 3 days)Required Skills:3-5 years of relevant IT experience in Application Support / L2 Operations.Strong willingness to continuously enhance knowledge across business services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools, and emerging technologies.Ability to stay current with industry and business trends.Comfortable collaborating with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders.Readiness to support installation, configuration, and upgrades of business applications/systems when required.Ability to work on low to moderately complex tasks under guidance and supervision.Hands-on experience managing production incidents to ensure timely resolution.Good to have: Host Mainframe experience (IBM AS400).Good to have or willing to learn: Monitoring/investigation tools such as Splunk, DataDog, and DynaTrace.Experience working with Linux, Windows, and cloud platforms.Perform daily health checks across systems and applications.Monitor ServiceNow queues and incoming support emails.Conduct trend analysis and link recurring issues to appropriate problem records.Manage incident communication and ensure compliance with SLAs for P3 communication and outage record completion.Participate in P3/P4 triage calls.Create and monitor problem tickets.Send out technical communications as required.Adjust Tivoli and Splunk alert thresholds to improve monitoring accuracy.Execute beginning- and end-of-shift handovers.Assist with change tasks and participate in change management processes.Conduct data quality reviews via internal processes, police reports, and TLEI spikes.Share knowledge with the broader team.Perform other related support tasks as assigned.RegardsPraveen Kumar Talent Acquisition Group - Strategic Recruitment Manager Themesoft Inc
