This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about technology, security, and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and maintain IT and security policies, standards, and procedures.Administer, monitor, and maintain computer systems, applications, and networks across On-Premises and Azure environments.Implement and enforce system hardening standards, patch management, and update policies.Manage and troubleshoot Office 365, Azure IaaS, and PaaS infrastructure.Ensure data backups are performed securely and reliably across On-Premises, Office 365, and Azure environments.Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.Support and manage core Microsoft services such as Active Directory, Windows Server, and Remote Desktop Services.Oversee endpoint management including software deployment, device configuration, and policy enforcement.Collaborate with internal teams to support business operations and resolve complex technical issues.Educate users on cybersecurity awareness and promote IT security best practices.Maintain accurate system documentation, network diagrams, and procedural guides.Support disaster recovery planning and participate in security incident response activities.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent professional experience (4+ years).Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar IT infrastructure role.Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, and Office 365.Experience with Azure services (VMs, Azure AD, Azure Networking, App Services, and Azure Storage).Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V).Proficiency with security tools such as antivirus, EDR, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management systems.Familiarity with identity and access management, MFA, and privileged access controls.Strong understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent) are an asset.Note: this is an opportunity with a Microserve client.
