Position Overview:
The Logistics Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our logistics operations to ensure smooth and efficient movement of products throughout the supply chain.
Please find the key responsibilities of the Logistics Assistant as follows:
- Assist in the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and timely deliveries.
- Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging materials for outgoing shipments.
- Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent stockouts.
- Monitor transportation schedules and track shipments to ensure ontime arrivals.
- Communicate with thirdparty logistics providers and carriers to ensure smooth transportation.
- Perform data entry tasks to update inventory records and shipment information.
- Assist in resolving any logisticsrelated issues, such as delays or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized logistics workspace, including storage areas and shipping/receiving docks.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and contribute to maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Support the implementation of logistics improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant postsecondary education is a plus.
- Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Proficiency in using computer software and tools for tracking shipments and managing inventory.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams, suppliers, and transportation providers.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Problemsolving mindset and willingness to contribute ideas for process improvement.
- Physical capability to handle packages, lift moderate weights, and operate warehouse equipment.
