About the Role


We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven individual with proven communication skills and a strong work ethic to work in a challenging, fast-paced, energetic environment with responsibilities that include managing the collection and resolution of outstanding Accounts Receivable balances from accounts.

You will prepare reports as required for management providing status of open issues and respond to inquiries from customers, Sales or external collection resources.

You possess at least two years of hands-on Collections experience preferably in the distribution field, coupled with post-secondary education in a related business discipline.


What You'll Do

  • Responsible for the management of a collection portfolio to ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables
  • Identify collection concerns and reconciliation issues that require escalation and escalate to Manager/Supervisor
  • Accurately research collection histories of new and existing customers
  • Contact customers for payment information based on aging and resolve issues blocking payment; review and release orders as needed.
  • Recognize red flags on accounts and bring to the attention of management
  • Perform reconciliations of accounts for problem resolution with mínimal guidance.
  • Manage discrepancies to ensure resolved in timely manner
  • Cover for other team members managing their portfolios in their absence while continuing to manage your own portfolio
  • Obtain credit bureau reports and other supporting data as requested by management.
  • Build strong business relationships with Sales Department and customer's AP department
  • Work effectively with other departments and customer as required to resolve outstanding issues such as returns, claims, pricing adjustments etc.
  • Ensure compliance of credit policies and procedures as well as internal audit requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Post-Secondary Education in a business discipline or sufficient related experience in lieu
  • 2 years related experience preferably in the distribution field
  • Excellent reconciliation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with all levels of contacts within SYNNEX and customers' organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work and foster a team environment
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Good follow up skills and persistence
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and multitask
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Excel, Word, CIS preferred.
  • Core Competencies for this role include analytical skills, communication skills, decision making and sound judgment.
