Shop Laborer

Duties:

  • Perform general labor tasks as assigned by supervisor
  • Work within a production line at various stations building pads/blocks
  • Load and unload materials and equipment with forklift
  • Cut, measure and build with precision
  • Work with management to hit deadlines and timeline requirements
  • Clean and prepare job site
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment
  • Work within a team to ensure work is done in a timely fashion
  • Ability to work alone when required, while still achieving target deadlines
  • Opportunities for occasional overtime hours

Skills:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects (100+lbs blocks) and perform physical labor
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well in fast paced environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks accurately
  • Hard working with a positive attitude
  • Good with numbers and has an open communication attitude
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools an asset (will provide basic training)
  • Knowledge of Forklift driving an asset (will provide basic training)
  • Construction experience is a bonus, but not necessary

Salary:
$18.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

In person
