Drop-in Assistant Volunteer

Opportunity Details:
- Assist in supervising and interacting with infants, toddlers and preschool children and parents/caregivers,
- Assist in the planning and carrying out of fun and safe games, crafts, activities, songs, snacks and outings for the children and parents/caregivers,
- Promote healthy and appropriate interactions between the children and adults in the program
Skills Required:
- Interest in working with infants, toddlers and preschool aged children and their parents/caregivers
- Interest or experience in participating/ facilitating games, arts, crafts, exercise activities and music with children
- Must present yourself as mature and a positive role model for the children
- Reliable, friendly, patient, nonjudgemental and nondiscriminating
- Energetic, creative and committed to the Early Years Centre philosophy
Orientation & Training:
- Staff provide orientation and training before volunteers are placed in the program
- Ongoing support and development opportunities
Program Times:
- Mon, Tue, Thur, Friday 8:30AM 4:30PM
- Wednesday 1:00PM 6:00PM
Time Commitment:
- 3 hours per week
- Minimum of 3 months
