Your primary Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Assist with all aspects of environmental compliance and management including air, water and land emissions at a large integrated pulp and paper facility.
  • Coordinate external and internal environmental monitoring and abatement projects ensuring government reporting requirements are satisfied.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to determine the effectiveness of environmental and risk management programs.
  • Participate in the maintenance of the sites emergency and preparedness and response plan.
  • Provide support for routine and emergency environmental issues and assist with the successful maintenance and improvement of the site's environmental management system.

Your profile:

  • Environmental or Chemical Engineering degree coupled with at least 2 years of industrial experience.

Your skills and assets:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills required, including an ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced and structured environment
  • Good communication skills with excellent strategic thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to balance priorities that meet short and longterm objectives; uses organized and efficient work methods;
  • Proficient analytical skills required as well as a strong background in MS Office and Outlook.
