Our Client is looking for _Part-Time Concierge_ and _On Call Concierge_ for a property located in Vancouver, BC.
Job Title:
On Call/Part Time concierge
Location:
Vancouver, BC
Building Type:
Strata Building - 1 building with a total of 85 residential units and 4 commercial units.
Shift:
This position is to cover shifts for employees who call in sick or take vacation days
- The parttime concierge is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and friendly environment for Owners and residents. The concierge role is to occupy the concierge desk, engage with residents regarding their needs, and monitor the security of the building. The concierge will perform routine inspections both inside and around the perimeter of the building as well as maintain a log of events through each shift._
Key Responsibilities:
- _Perform routine inspections of the property (interior/exterior)._
- _Cleaning - when needed to maintain the cleanliness in common areas of the buildings, storerooms, and mechanical rooms._
- _Occasionally oversee trades and other contractors in the building._
- _Assist with some administrative and clerical functions such as assisting residents with amenity room bookings._
- _Respond to residents' queries and requests promptly and professionally._
- _Post and/or deliver parcels and notices as required_
- _Perform all other duties as set out in the Job Description or which are assigned by or on behalf of the Strata Council which are consistent with the objective of the position._
Benefits:
- _Bi-monthly direct deposit of salary_
Qualifications:
- Previous building concierge experience in a strata or commercial setting (or equivalent) an asset.
- Must currently have the legal right to work in Canada for any employer without sponsorship
- Demonstrate the ability to hold a position of trust and prove that no criminal convictions exist in Canada or abroad. Background checks will be conducted on any recruits.
- Fluent (written and spoken) English or have completed an ELPE.
- Professional and punctual demeanor as well as always having a wellgroomed appearance.
- Good written and verbal communication all the while dealing in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to remain objective and neutral in dealing with issues with good diplomatic ability and understanding of cultural differences.
- Completion of St. John's Standard First Aid CPR-C & AED equivalent or better would be an asset.
- Previous experience working with contractors and mechanical equipment, an asset
- Knowledge of operational requirements of a strata building and keen eye for identifying issues
- Excellent work ethic and attention to detail
- Self motivated individual who obtains satisfaction from a job well done
- Strong communication skills (both written and spoken)
- Strong organizing, planning and decisionmaking skills
- Demonstrates good judgment in problemsolving and conflict resolution
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job, such as the ability to lift 25 lbs, ability to use standard cleaning equipment such as a shopvac, and the ability to climb ladders

- Must be willing to provide references on request._
