THEROLE IN A NUTSHELL

The position is primarilyfocused on new business proposal writing, from procurement opportunities tosmall, template-based quotes, and reports to the Director – Sales Operations.Specific responsibilities include the following:

Develop proposals of all sizes in response to a variety of requests for proposal (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs), including pricing information; Collaborate with internal stakeholders (including the Insurance Growth & Client Service Team); Draft new content to customize responses, where appropriate; Represent the team on key cross-departmental projects; Contribute to team editorial meetings to drive continuous improvement; Assist in maintaining and updating a large database of information pertaining to proposals; Perform quality checks/peer reviews of proposals with team members to ensure consistency and accuracy; Monitor and manage "look and feel" of final proposal documents by editing for style, accuracy and content; and Ad-hoc support for the broader Enterprise Sales team on marketing, communications, and other projects. The idealcandidate is an independent self-starter that is motivated by the opportunityto enhance a creative team within a growing organization. They will alsopossess the following competencies and qualifications:

At least three years of experience in a proposal-related role; Experience in group benefits and/or related industries – preferred; Post-secondary education in related field of studies; Aptitude for project management and collaboration with various stakeholders, as well as demonstrating strong administrative and creative skills; Thoughtful problem-solving, with the confidence to bring forward new ideas; Ability to organize and prioritize accountabilities in a deadline-driven environment; Exceptional attention to detail; Aspirations for future growth and leadership opportunities; Excellent listening, verbal communication, and writing skills; Strong computer skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Positive attitude, customer-focus, and interest to learn; Basic graphic design skills A sense of humour (we're dead serious).
