The Family & Youth Counsellor is responsible to provide counselling to individuals and families on a whole array of issues, such as immigration adjustment, marital, inter-generational, social and emotional issues and trauma.

This position delivers Family Life Education and parenting workshops to the community and liaises with schools, government institutions and other voluntary agencies to provide integrative support to individuals and families.

Conducts counselling interviews with individuals and families
Liaises with community agencies, sch ools and other institutions to receive cases referrals and provide best possible services to clients
Performs report writing and other related administration work
Attends case conferences, supervision , team meetings and training opportunities as required

Education, Training and Experience:
Master's degree in Counselling , Social Work, or Clinical Psychology
At least three (3) years of counselling work experience is preferable
Knowledge on case planning and case management principles and techniques
Excellent verbal communication skills in Chinese (preferably both Cantonese and Mandarin) is preferred
Excellent program planning, time management and organizational skills
Excellent multitasking skills and flexible
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and internet skills
Flexible to w ork on weekends and evenings due to work schedules
