About the Role
You will be joining our amazing international team of Sustainability Analysts on the vibrant Mile End in Montreal.

We work as one team of sustainability experts with our colleagues in Edinburgh (UK) to support our clients in receiving the best service and results from our products.


Responsibilities

Tasks will include:

  • Keeping an overview of available team capacity and project progress.
  • Supporting members of the team with their daytoday tasks.
  • Reporting operational activity to the Global Head of Sustainability.
  • Delivery of organizational greenhouse gas assessment services, including GHG calculations, emissions estimation modelling, and quality review of client data.
  • Liaising with our clients and partners, including consulting, sustainability assessment scoping, answering technical and project management queries, helping clients report on their sustainability performance.
  • Assisting clients with mandatory and voluntary reporting such as, SECR, SBTi, and CDP.
  • Conducting adhoc research on sustainability and climate change standards, emission sources, and other topics as needed.
  • Contributing to testing and providing recommendations on new features for our online corporate sustainability reporting services.
  • Updating our extensive database of emissions factors and statistical data. Other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Have 3+ years of experience as a sustainability consultant or as a client facing sustainability analyst.
  • Have management or leadership experience.
  • Have good team building and mentoring skills.
  • Have outstanding project management and time management skills.
  • Have excellent client facing skills and is confident in communicating with clients.
  • Be assertive, take charge of the situation, and direct the team.
  • A working knowledge of the main corporate GHG and sustainability reporting standards.
  • Love numbers and be proficient with modelling/estimating data.
  • Be able to critically appraise the relevance and accuracy of data.
  • Have demonstrated strong interest in environmental sciences, climate change or sustainable development matters.
  • Be extremely attentive to detail and rigorous.
  • Possess strong research and analytical skills.
  • Be confident and comfortable in learning new skills within a fastpaced environment.
  • Possess excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Have a strong work ethic, be commercially minded, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Have a mature and professional approach to the working environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written and spoken) with a confident, friendly, and professional approach.
  • Be bilingual (French and English).
  • Be a graduate in a field relevant to EcoOnline' s line or work, such as environmental sciences or statistics.
  • Having a practical understanding of SQL and Python is not a requirement but would be an asset.
  • A strong command of English is required in order to communicate with our international team and our international based clients._
