Position Summary:

Roles & Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for the following activities with respect to Pivotree's Finance division:

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Financial Reporting function and ensure compliance under IFRS, local, and parent
company accounting rules, along with compliance of any tax regulations and public reporting
requirements

  • Preparation of the quarterly and annual consolidated IFRS financial statements and perform quality
assurance checks

  • Assist with creating global accounting policies and procedures along with the implementation of new
accounting standards and ongoing continuous disclosure requirements as required

  • Complete monthend close under tight reporting deadlines.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Work with external consultants in preparing tax filings and quarterly tax provisions
  • Assist with the accounting of acquisitions and year end audit
  • Assist with managing the billing functions

Other:

  • Monthly KPI reports and other ad hoc reporting as required
  • Assist with cash flow management and online payments.
  • Other projects as assigned by the Director of Finance, Director of FP&A, CFO.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • A bachelors' degree in commerce or accounting and a CPA, CA from public practice
  • Handson experience in public companies reporting under IFRS
  • Big Four or National Firm accounting experience
  • Expert knowledge of IFRS accounting rules, extremely welldeveloped public financial reporting and disclosure experience, including management discussion and analysis
  • Exposure to M&A, multicurrencies, multisubsidiary consolidation
  • Strong communication and organization skills, and the ability to manage multiple deliverables to drive timely results
