Ajisen Ramen is hiring for its Kennedy & HWY 7 location We offer flexible hours and complimentary meals with every shift.
As part of the kitchen team, your primary responsibility is to complete food orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Kitchen experience is an asset, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare all served food by following recipes and presentation specifications (Noodles, Appetizers, Fried Rice)
- Food prep as needed
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation, including daily cleaning of cooking equipment.
- Operate an industrial dishwasher when necessary; wash dishes when necessary
Requirements:
Experience
- Kitchen experience is an asset but not required.
- Food handler or equivalent certifications is a plus
- Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment and be a team player
- Must be able to speak Chinese in order to communicate with the trainer
Physical Demands
- Ability to work long shifts (8, 10 or 12 hours) that include standing, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold)
- Be able to lift and carry heavy items
