Your OpportunityFunctions and Duties**- Instructional duties may include any or all of the following:

    Education and Experience
  • 1. Successful completion of a related apprenticeship program and a Certificate of Apprenticeship with an Interprovincial endorsement.
  • 2. An undergraduate degree and post secondary teaching experience are preferred; however, applicants with an equivalent combination of teaching and work experience may be considered.
  • 3. An Instructor's Diploma or valid BC Teacher's Certificate appropriate to the instructional assignment is preferred, and will be required following appointment in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
  • 4. Six to ten years recent relevant experience.
    Skills and AbilitiesPreferred Qualifications** Red Seal in one or more of the following trades: Automotive Service Technician, Carpenter, Electrician, Plumber, Sheet Metal Worker, and/or Welder.

  • Given oncall nature of position, schedule and frequency of instruction may vary.
  • Programs are typically ten to twelve weeks in length, however, length of appointment would depend on the type of coverage required.
  • Typical instructional week is Monday to Friday, 6 hours per day and would not exceed 30 hours.
    Annual Salary/Hourly Rate
  • Salary range $62,828 to $100,958 annually; normal starting salary between $69,017 and $75,206 annually, dependent on relevant education and experience.
