Program Manager - Senior(EHR,EMR,Health Projects)**
Location:Toronto, Ontario(Hybrid)**
Hybrid - 3 days on site and 2 days remote

Duration:
Long Term Contract


Note:
This position is currently WFH. Once OH staff are required to return to the office, the resource under this request will be required to work onsite as well.**
Must Haves:
  • 7 to 10 years' experience project managing digital health projects, ideally with experience deploying clinical software systems, including health information systems, electronic medical records, ereferral solutions and patient portals.
  • Experience with and knowledge of Project Management concepts (e.g. project goals, risk, scope, participant roles, planning, quality management, risk management and change management)
  • Excellent Leadership, Team Building, and Communication skills, including experience with presenting to Csuite and Executive Leadership Groups across the health sector
  • Demonstrated experience leading and overseeing program strategy development from inception through to project closeout
  • Demonstrated ability to develop successful relationship and build agreement with highlevel internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience understanding and articulating executive expectations and translating into program deliverables
  • Experience developing budgets based on multiple funding channels and crossorganization dependencies
  • Demonstrated experience with privacy and security requirements of software development and integrations in a healthcare or clinical context.

Deliverables include, but are not limited to:
The Senior Program Manager will be required to work with the appropriate teams to provide:

  • Organizing program and activities
  • Creating and managing short and long term goals
  • Developing a budget and operating plan for the program
  • Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement
  • Managing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
  • Client Engagement and Client Management, including but not limited to health care organizations and technology providers
  • Manage Program Golive schedules
  • Manage Project Risk/Issue Management
  • Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.

Responsibilities:


The Senior Program Manager will lead and support various EHR Modernization initiatives, including management of activities, issues, risks and service change requests to ensure successful and on-time deployment.


  • Work with internal stakeholders to report project progress
  • Work with internal stakeholders for budgeting oversight, tracking and reporting
  • Define, implement and operate the program governance
  • Establish/Manage relationships with Ontario Health product owners
  • Establish/Manage relationships with Canada Health Infoway
  • Engage with Legal authorities to evaluate program responsibilities
  • Engage with Privacy authorities to evaluate program responsibilities
  • Engage with Security authorities to evaluate program responsibilities

Desired Skills:

  • College/University undergraduate degree in Health, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related discipline from a recognized institution or equivalent experience
  • Professional certifications: Project Management Professional; Knowledge and understanding of Project Management's Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge and/or Lean Six Sigma
  • Demonstrated project management software skills and experience e.g. MS Project, MS Teams etc.
  • Knowledge of Ontario's healthcare landscape including the Electronic Health Record, Provincial Digital Services, Hospital Information Systems (Epic, Meditech and Cerner)and other Healthcare Information Systems used throughout the province
  • Experience with health system business implementation and deployment projects
  • Proven track record working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in liaising with customers/stakeholders where customer service was a key focus to responding to queries, issues/risk management, etc.
  • Relationship building, facilitation and influencing skills to successfully partner with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to readily identify, assess and mitigate implementation and adoption issues
  • Knowledge of change management, business process integration, and/or evaluation/quality improvement, preferably in the health sector
  • Experience operating in highly political environments and across various organizational cultures
  • Working knowledge of privacy policies and legislative processes
