Role Overview

The Bench Trainee is responsible for providing proactive, student-focused, and exceptional (ILAC quality) service to our diverse ILAC College student and instructor population. This position handles each interaction professionally, effectively, empathetically and in accordance with the ILAC International College Values. We are seeking an organized, customer focused, driven and goals oriented individual. The Bench Trainee will work across the ILACIC matrix closely with the Co-Op, Student Services and Academic Teams providing the highest quality experience to all our students during the post-arrival process.

Key responsibilities and capabilities

  • Assist ILACIC Students with any inquires related to their program and college services.
  • Resolve student concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Follow up with students on the required documents before and after each intake.
  • Understands and upholds confidentiality and privacy of student information and inquiries.
  • Understands and supports the various technology systems and processes that ILACIC utilizes for the continuous improvement and enhancement of service.
  • Maintains and organizes inventory and status of all confidential student records, documents, and forms.
  • Knowledgeable of ILACIC guidelines on document retention and shredding procedures.
  • Strong computer proficiency, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word.
  • Supports processes, as defined, to create and maintain data integrity.
  • Supports the Students Services Manager with planning and scheduling.
  • Supports the Co-Op Team with Co-Op Inquires and procedures
  • Supports the Academic Team with Academic procedures.
  • Attends team meetings identifying procedural problems, offering suggestions for improvement of services, and recommending changes.
  • Process all student homestay and insurance extensions and upgrades in the system and ensuring all respective departments have up to date information.
  • Must be available to work from 12:00pm to 8:00pm Monday to Thursday, 10:30am to 6:30pm on Fridays.

Person Specification

    Salary
:

$40,000.00 per yearSchedule: 8 hour shiftAbility to commute/relocate: Vancouver, BC V6E 3V6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
