We're expanding our team and seeking a meticulous and enthusiastic candidate for the position of Maintenance Technician in Windsor, Ontario. This full-time role is perfect for someone with a knack for mechanics and a love for challenges.

Duties Include:

  • Maintaining the physical integrity of buildings through general upkeep and maintenance of assigned properties.
  • Repairing and cleaning items in vacant and occupied units (minor plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, etc.).
  • Engaging in physically demanding tasks involving ladders, power tools, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Applying knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, DDC BAS systems, and life safety systems.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated mechanical/electrical skills and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capability to multitask and work well independently and in a team.
  • Aptitude for lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs, etc.
  • Proficiency in PC skills like Word, Excel, and email/web.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma and 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Prior experience in residential maintenance or a related field.
  • Experience in apartment rentals and tenant assistance is a plus.
  • Familiarity with legislation concerning residential tenancies and landlord-tenant obligations is advantageous.
