Salary:
$28.00/hour plus monthly bonus.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Industrial Millwright/Mechanic certification is preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of shop tools (i.e., milling machines, lathes, grinders, drilling machines, welding).
  • Knowledge of presses, mills, and packaging equipment is an asset.
  • MIG or TIG welding is an asset.
  • Industrial and/or commercial electrical experience is an asset.
  • Ability to use power tools and manual tools.
  • Able to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and expedite repair.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and problem solving.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Ability to carry out tasks on a timely basis.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work safely.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate parts from start to finish using semifinished or raw materials.
  • General welding and fabrication knowledge.
  • Maintain a variety of mechanical equipment both corrective and preventative maintenance.
  • Perform equipment / system improvements as well as research and test new equipment, complete all maintenance record keeping and ensure all related information is available.
  • Disassemble machinery and equipment when there is a problem.
  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
  • Complete all other duties as instructed and assigned by Supervisor and Manager.
