Millwright - Maintenance Technician

AFIMAC Canada is currently seeking Millwright/Maintenance Technicians for a project lasting 2-4 months in Southwestern Ontario.

You will receive:

  • $33.88-$35.13 per hour
  • $30 per day tax-free meal allowance (if accommodation is needed)
  • Compensated Travel (up to 4 hours)
  • Provided Hotel Accommodations (if necessary)

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular maintenance and repairs on various machinery in a manufacturing setting
  • Install, repair, and upkeep machinery and facility equipment
  • Create and implement customized PLC coding
  • Troubleshoot and adjust PLC and HMI applications on automated process equipment
  • Proficient in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance
  • Interpret and utilize schematics and blueprints for plant equipment
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and comply with quality, safety, production, and environmental regulations
  • Maintain precise maintenance records
  • Demonstrate knowledge of lockout/tagout and confined space entry
  • Experience in equipment rigging, setup, and alignment
  • Ensure safe and efficient maintenance of plant equipment

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Preferably certified in forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift operation
  • Millwright certification or apprenticeship preferred
  • PLC technical certification with a minimum of 2 years' experience as a programmer preferred
  • At least 1 year of millwright experience in manufacturing
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Capable of standing for extended periods
  • Strong interpersonal, technical, and communication skills
  • Proficient in English language (written and verbal)
