We are looking to hire a QA Engineer for our Manufacturing team in Ottawa, ON area. We are also open to hiring candidates looking to relocate to this region.
Responsibilities:

  • Test coverage analysis and improvement.
  • Conduct exploratory testing.
  • Developing new automated tests.
  • Automated regression tests execution/results analysis/support.
  • Manual testing of new features.
  • Bugs analysis with the purpose of increasing test coverage in critical areas.
  • Provide inputs on high-level test scenarios, challenges, risks, resources, test estimates during test planning meetings.
  • Perform Mobile, API and Performance testing based on the requirements.
Technologies, tools, and environment, we use :
  • Automation testing tools –Selenium,
  • Programming languages - С#,
  • Source control system – GIT/STASH/BAMBOO/Bitbucket
  • Bug tracking system – JIRA, Confluence
  • Database management tools – MS SQL/MySQL.
  • API testing tools (Postman)
  • IDE (VSCode, Visual Studio)
  • Test Framework – Acumatica Test SDK
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Software Engineering,Information Technology or relevant qualification
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in web application testautomation and documentation (C#/Java/Python).
  • Experience within a manufacturing facility or with other Manufacturing ERP Manufacturing solutions and systems is a plus.
  • Experience in interaction with web application developers.
  • Solid understanding of QA processes, best practices, testing techniques, and methodologies.
  • Self-motivation and learning capability, ability to work independently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic Business English is required for this role.
