- Job SummaryReporting to the Director, this position provides administrative and coordination support for the Office of the President. An integral member of the team, this position's responsibilities include support for presidential correspondence, committees and events, financial accounting and office administrative activities. This position also provides administrative and calendaring support to the Director, Office of the President and acts in the role of Executive Coordinator to the President during absences. This position will be joining a team that is committed to valuing diversity, to creating an inclusive work and learning environment and supporting Indigenous rights.
- Job Requirements
Experience:
3+ years' experience working in a professional office environment, preferably within an executive office setting in a large, complex and busy environment.
Experience handling enquiries, requests and complaints and working with highly confidential and sensitive materials.Knowledge, skills and competencies:
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing the principles of truth, reconciliation and respect, equity diversity and inclusion, and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
- Advanced organizational, administrative and office coordination skills, with significant attention to detail.
- Excellent people skills, including the ability to work collaboratively, to contribute to good office morale and to show respect and sensitivity in all dealings.
- Ability to plan, prioritize and organize high volumes of accurate work with competing deadlines.
- Excellent writing skills to create materials for wideranging audiences.
- Takes a flexible, creative and collaborative approach and adapts quickly to changing circumstances.
- Takes initiative, makes informed decisions and can problem solve and be innovative in a team setting.
- Demonstrates a clear understanding of issues and policies related to confidentiality, security and privacy to deal successfully with a typical range of office issues.
- Experience with or desire to learn web content management.
