Position Description:
As a Residential Support Worker on the Residential Facility Team you will be responsible to provide ongoing support and supervision to the residents of the Community Residential Facility for women on conditional release from federal and provincial institutions.
Assists in maintaining an established working rapport with CSC, MCSS, police, institutions, National Parole Board, Ontario Parole and Earned Remission Board.
You will also be expected to assist with the general upkeep of the residential facility, including minor maintenance, and health and safety tasks.
Residential Support Staff work collaboratively within the Residential Facility Team to ensure residents are abiding by all legal conditions of release, while empowering them to work towards, and accomplish personal development goals.
The CRF is a single-staff work environment, with an expectation to work positively and cooperatively with other members of the Residential Facility Team.
This position consists of a schedule of 10:45pm-8:00am Monday-Thursday, including holidays (36 hours/week). Occasional weekend coverage is required.
This position does not begin until spring 2024.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work an alternative contract schedule prior to the beginning of this full time position.
Hours would consist of 10:45pm-8:00am Friday, 7:45pm-8:00am Saturday and 7:45pm-8:00am Sunday (33 hours/week)Possible opportunities for professional development include:

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Services field, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
Knowledge of criminal justice system is mandatory, family law knowledge considered an asset;
Minimum of two (2) years' experience working in a non-profit organization OR in a criminal justice service delivery environment;
Skilled in property management, strong administration and organizational skills; strong verbal/written communication;
Experience with data collection and management; strong computer skills, including website and social media management;
Experience working in a deadline-driven setting, proven project management skills; strong oral and written communication skills, current CPR/First Aid certification and a current CPIC are required.
