Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the production of all meals and catering services as listed on weekly menu under the guidance of a diet manager
  • Ensure that the appropriate temperature of the foods is maintained at meal time
  • Prepare purchase orders and receives the requisitioned food and supplies.
  • Put away food deliveries and assist staff with their outlined job routine
  • Maintain food inventory records and follow Quality Management Plan
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitization of all kitchen cookware and tools
  • Follows departmental policies and procedures for quality control, infection control, fire safety, and environmental protection.
  • And any other duties assigned from time to time

Requirements:

  • Have entered into a registered training agreement OR successfully completed an apprenticeship program in the trade of Cook, Institutional Cook or Assistant Cook
  • Previous experience as Cook/Line Cook, preferably in LTCH
  • Ability to understand instructions in English clearly. Ability to speak and understand "Mandarin" is preferred.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract

Salary:
$20.00-$22.00 per hour
