- The Technical Lead will be within the Reconnect Department of Project Management Services. This role will play an integral role in supporting the project teams with all technical related activities._
Responsibilities:_
- provides technical advice and direction for Reconnect's technically-based projects
- consults with project teams and consultants in identifying, documenting and evaluating options for the delivery of projects and solutions;
- acts as the lead resource for deliverables, including HSP support and interaction, technical design and development, testing etc.;
- provides advice on release management activities such as defect corrections and enhancement releases;
- participates in project planning and development meetings;
- proactively manages risks, and systematically resolves or escalates issues;
- designs technical solutions that meet the project requirements, this could include new or changed work flows, web services, integration specifications, etc.;
- identifies opportunities for improvement of business processes
- defines requirements and support in providing advice on technical procurement requests;
- leads discussions translating functional requirements into technical requirements;
- applies strong IT and architecture product knowledge to translate technical requirements into actionable product recommendations

Requirements:_
- 4 years of experience working in a senior technical role,
- experience with client management systems (CMS) in the community health care sector,
- excellent knowledge of Windows and Linux desktop and server operating systems,
- strong understanding of Local Area TCP/IP Networking and essentials of Internet Connectivity, connecting LANs to wide area networks, basic routing, and network address translation,
- strong knowledge of techniques and technologies for supporting remote and mobile workers, and remote offices (e.g., VPN, Windows RDS),
- very familiar with procedures and best practices to maintain equipment in good working order,
- excellent organizational, time management and project management skills
- strong understanding of converged communications, Voice over IP telephony, video conferencing, etc.,
- strong working knowledge of the full Project Management LifeCycle (PLC), as well as some exposure to the Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC),
- excellent written and oral communication skills, Position Description:
- able to work independently and in a team setting,
- familiar with procedures and best practices to maintain the security and privacy of confidential client data,
- able and willing to learn new technical skills and techniques, including command-line system administration, basic programming and scripting,
- experience working with LHIN and community sectors.

Workplace details:_
- Works a 37.5 hour workweek, Monday through Friday and as needed after hours and on weekends.
- Work hours may vary depending on the needs of the project and the agency.
- May provide services at the Reconnect offices and at satellite locations.
- Attendance at outside meetings and special events required from timetotime.
- Reconnect requires a criminal background check for all employees, volunteers and students._
- Please be advised that in order to be eligible for employment at Reconnect, all new hires must have received both doses of a COVID19 vaccine approved by Health Canada prior to their start date and will be required to show proof. Medical exemptions or any other kind of requested exemption based upon Reconnect' s obligations pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code will be considered on a casebycase basis._
