Shift Requirement: 4 shifts a week, 10hours per shift; Monday-Thursday 1:00pm-11:00pm


As a
Parts Cleaner, you'll operate metal cleaning equipment such as vapour blasters, wheelabrators, deburrers and blast cabinets using a variety of blast media to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other material from surfaces of metal parts, castings, and other metal products.


What you'll do**:

  • Perform in process cleaning, air drying and buffing
  • Immerse metal products in chemical cleaning and stripping solutions
  • Prepare and masks surfaces prior to cleaning
  • Prepare parts for nondestructive testing
  • Clean and maintain cleaning tanks and equipment, monitors chemicals through titration checks
  • Participate in continuous improvement of processes
  • Cross trains in other complementary skills to support production requirements
  • Observe all applicable safety requirements

Position Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 75% of the average workday

Desired Characteristics:

  • Thorough knowledge of ferrous and nonferrous materials
  • Thorough knowledge of titrating chemicals
  • Working knowledge of material safety data sheets and the handling of hazardous materials/chemicals
  • Working knowledge of related company instructions, company processes, MSDS labels and original equipment manufacturer manuals for cleaning and related processes
  • Working knowledge of production management computer systems
  • NDT Certification or Knowledge is preferred
  • Must be willing to consider an NDT (Non Destructive Testing) role in the future
