Job Profile:


The Hub Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Director in the implementation of the York Region Mental Health Community Care Hub Project.

The York Region Mental Health Community Care Hub Project is leading the development of a 24/7 resource for people experiencing a mental health or addiction crisis.

Promoting wellness and inspiring hope and resilience, CMHA and its partners will support recovery at the Hub with the highest levels of compassion and specialist care.

The first of its kind in the region, this facility will offer care to children, adults, and their families, aged 12 and older, who are facing a mental health or addiction crisis and need immediate support.

With a range of healthcare professionals from nurses, psychiatrists, social workers and peer support specialists, this innovative facility will provide much-needed access to care.

The centre will offer 24/7 access to treatment, including 20 short-stay beds (for ages 16+).

CMHA is the Lead Agency for the Hub Project collaborating with health and social services providers including the Ministry of Health, The Region of York, York Region Paramedic Services, York Regional Police, and the three York Region Hospitals, Southlake Health Centre, Mackenzie Health, and Oak Valley Health, along with other local community mental health agencies.


Duties:

  • Establish a document management framework in consultation with the Executive Assistant to the Project Executive, the PM team, and the Internal Project Steering Committee
  • Keep project documentation (including plans) uptodate and monitor project status and timelines
  • Assist the Project Director with the following:
  • internal/external resource oversight including assisting with the identification and analysis of project stakeholders and their communication needs
  • The creation of the project scope, schedule, cost baselines, and monitor and control for same
  • Leading the Internal Project Steering Committee through identifying, analyzing, and formulating responses to project risks
  • Managing project quality, change, and closing the project successfully
  • Point of contact for prime consultant engaged in the project
  • Cost tracking, and following up on invoice payment and reporting
  • Facilitates internal team member risk identification, analysis, and mitigation strategy development and communicates key project issues and changes
  • Collaborates with key external partners, such as the prime consultant, general contractor, and other subcontractors and vendors
  • Manages a large volume of complex project issues. These include but are not limited to issues that directly impact the project's scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Responsible for ensuring that relevant project documents are updated and saved in a shared location in a timely manner
  • A high degree of initiative is required, requires selfdirection and the ability to independently manage a complex project and competing priorities within
  • Decisions made by this role have a high degree of impact on the project's success and ability to stay within scope, on schedule, and within budget
  • Regularly updates professional knowledge through educational events, workshops, and professionrelated reading and training.
  • Represents CMHA York Region positively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
