Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Welcome visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
  • Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail.
  • Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Maintain the general office filing system.
  • Office systems' administration including data entry, records maintenance and lookup, and report development and retrieval.
  • Assisting in team event planning.
  • Perform other duties, as required.

Major Requirements and Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communications, listening and customer service skills.
  • Multitasking skills and ability to be flexible when priorities shift.
  • Extensive computer and software skills (Microsoft Office, etc).
  • Highly organized and able manage time properly.
  • Reliable and dependable.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Prior manufacturing experience an asset.
