Regional Operations Manager, Western Canada

Volvo Car Canada Ltd (VCCL) is a National Sales Company of the Volvo Cars Group in Canada. We are presently looking for a Regional Operations Manager, Western Canada (ROM) to be located in Vancouver/Calgary/ Edmonton.

We are looking for a well-structured and highly motivated person who can build effective relationships and energize retailers, work closely with National VCCL functions and external agencies.


_Job Summary__:
_***ROM is responsible for the Regional sales function of VCCL in Western Canada.

Primary responsibilities include planning and coordination of regional retailer sales and marketing activities at the retailer and dealer group level, performance management in the areas of wholesale planning and ordering, new car sales, certified pre-owned, customer service, adherence to brand standards.

ROM reports to the Managing Director of VCCL, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Directors, Sales Operations. ROM collaborates closely with National Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Network Development teams.

_Principal Responsibilities__:
_**- Development of regional business plans through collaboration with the National Sales Operations and Marketing teams

  • Analysis of Regional Market Share Opportunity, development of recommendations for the National Sales & Marketing teams to support the region
  • Achievement of regional objectives
  • Coordination of vehicle ordering and distribution for the region and individual retailers
  • Development of dealer advertising group marketing plans in cooperation with National Marketing team and agencies
  • Working with individual retailers and their staff to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies and tactics to achieve business objectives, including events and sponsorships.
  • Performance management of individual retailers including regular retailer visits, performance assessment, development of performance improvement plans and follow up, including Compliance with retailer training certification standards
  • Development of individual retailer objectives in close cooperation with National Sales Operations and Network Development, including sales contest and incentive plans.
  • Management of sales month end close
  • Supporting commercial fleet, daily rental and national fleet activities
  • Supporting Network Development to ensure the appointment of quality, diverse retailers
  • Compliance with corporate standards for business ethics and established business initiatives

_Competencies/Experience/Skills_

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required, business, marketing or finance preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of sales and business management experience with strong product and incentive knowledge in the automotive industry
  • Strong communication skills both written and spoken
  • Prioritization to meet deadlines and create contingency plans and alternative solutions
  • Ability to adapt to changing business conditions, and develop creative solutions to achieve objectives
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and power point
