Position Purpose:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain working knowledge of all corporate programs, including and not limited to, foodservice, fresh, and general marketing solutions.
  • Understanding Core-Mark's technology suite to deliver and share superior marketing content. Ensuring Core-Mark's OpCo sales teams' ability to access and leverage the content to effectively sell and communicate.
  • Support Online and Live Trade Shows for assigned OpCo's.
  • Communicate Corporate Marketing initiatives to OpCo management and training the OpCo sales team on sales and execution strategy.
  • Formulating and executing a strategic plan which aligns with Core-Mark's growth objectives.
  • Creating strategies for Marketing Program growth to include sales, pricing, and profitability.
  • Support Foodservice and Fresh execution strategy, including support of local vendors and products.
  • Train and providing supporting presentation and documentation to execute food, fresh and marketing strategies at Retail. Including support for storespecific recommendations, training on preparation methods, merchandising, equipment and POS needs, where appropriate.
  • Communicating new items, product information, and competitive market information.
  • Presenting product and industry information through training sessions with Opco teams.
  • Coordinating the planning, setup, and presentations for trade shows and customer seminarsrelated to foodservice, fresh and marketing.
  • Supporting OpCo's with largerRetailer presentations.
  • Providing appropriate handoff of direct orders to facilitate equipment and POS delivery, andnecessary CDU documentation.
  • Support Operating Companies with event planning from time to time.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4 years of higher education with a degree in related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience and 12 years of budget and management experience.
  • Well balanced experience in both Marketing & Food Service/Fresh within the convenience industrypreferred.
  • Experience in customer service, project management, and team leadership.
Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, PPT and Outlook. Adobe Suite andgraphic design knowledge an asset.
  • General knowledge of food safety standards including basic HACCP practice and coldchain integrity,transporting of perishable foods, and maintain Serv-Safe certification.
  • Flexibility to travel on a daily basis within assigned market region and occasionaltraining/conferences which may be out of market.
