Our client, a leading food manufacturing company, is looking to bring on board a hands on, continuous improvement oriented Director of Operations for their facility in the Etobicoke area.


In this exciting position, you will take a lead role in the operations management of just in time process company.

This is a great opportunity to be a key stakeholder in a growing company that invests in its employees.

What we are looking for you to do:

  • Ensure compliance with Health & safety, quality and manufacturing regulations
  • Overall management and co-ordination of operations and functions within the facility
  • Ensure that production meets and exceeds standards for food safety, cost, quality, productivity, and customer service
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities within multiple departments to improve production and plant process
  • Ensure that plant efficiency is maintained at the highest possible level without sacrificing safety, quality and plant standards
  • Assist in the development of operational and capital budgets, policies and procedures
  • Review, maintain, control and implement corrective actions
  • Champion a H&S culture
  • Facilitate and implement lean principles across all aspects of manufacturing
  • Continually coach, direct and train employees utilizing lean principles
  • Ensure all departments are running efficiently, from logistics, production, quality, health and safety, maintenance, sanitation, procurement, finance, HR, and CI

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 10+ years of operations/ plant management experience required
  • 6+ years of food manufacturing experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a combination of education and relevant work experience
