Mariposa Dairy is a leading manufacturer of award-winning goat and sheep milk cheeses based in Lindsay, Ontario.

Our aim is to provide the highest quality goat and sheep milk cheese products in North America through the efforts of our skilled and valued team for the benefit of our customers and community.

This position is responsible for monitoring and evaluating our cheese products throughout production, to ensure that food safety has not been compromised, and our high standards are being met.

Flexibility of hours is essential for this job, depending on daily production targets, including some Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily monitoring and verification tasks as outlined in the FSMS Program and issue corrective actions for deviations.
Perform microbiological and analytical sampling for product and environment.
Perform various HACCP and FSMS related verification activities.
Provide support to employees and production management to maintain and improve their
QApractices and procedures.
Participates in root cause analysis of food safety and quality deviations.
Able to work safely in an industrial environment.
Able to influence others with respect to quality and food safety compliance.
Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:
Food Science degree or diploma, or equivalent.
Previous experience in a technical role.
Computer applications such as MS Office.
Strong interpersonal skills, as well as oral and written communication skills.
Able to work both day shifts and afternoon/evening shifts, with some Saturday work as required .
