Description
The City Operations Manager is an integral part of SCOOTY's core city success.
The City Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company's electric scooter fleet, parking stations and operations team personnels in the City of Brampton.
This individual will work closely with the in-field operations team, executive management and City staff to ensure the efficient and effective deployment, maintenance, and retrieval of the entire SCOOTY fleet, while also monitoring the performance of the local team, understanding rider behavior, service demand usage and addressing any operational issues that may arise.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the executive team, infield operations staff and City staff to support the planning and execution of a strong, successful launch in the City of Brampton.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the smooth daytoday local operations of SCOOTY, its infield staff and our fleet across the city.
- Understand the usage and performance of SCOOTY's parking and designated locations.
- Develop and implement processes and KPIs to understand and improve operations and ridership.
- Oversee the maintenance, deployment, rebalancing and recharging of the scooter fleet.
- Ensure that a schedule is in place to have fleet staff responsible for all scooters that are properly maintained and charged, and that any issues are promptly addressed.
- Monitor scooter usage patterns and make recommendations for optimizing the deployment of the scooters.
- Monitor the safety of riders through SCOOTY rider app and SCOOTY fleet management dashboard to ensure compliance with city laws and regulations.
- Utilize SCOOTY Fleet Management Platform to ensure that our fleet management and maintenance systems are uptodate and optimized for our needs.
- Address customer and city complaints and provide solutions within a 2hr timeframe.
- Identify and implement costsaving measures to improve the efficiency of the operations.
- Manage and motivate the local team to ensure that they are meeting performance targets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/College degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field is a nice to have.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the transportation, mobility or ondemand logistics industry.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with mínimal supervision.
- Proven experience in operations & people management.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a growing team.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders (private and public sector partners).
- Daily onsite work in Brampton with flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends, as needed.
- Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must have a valid G driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Criminal background check and driver's record check is required.
- Strong understanding of electric scooter operations & city escooter regulations is a plus.
