Responsible for HR administration, onsite support for recruitment and onboarding of new hires, and support for all Human Resources policies, practices, and procedures.


Accountabilities:

  • Foster positive employee relations and effectively manage employee relations issues
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team on recruitment for bakery roles participates in interviews, and monitors applicants through to onboarding.
  • Deliver HR portion of new hire employee orientations, and ensure all online onboarding, paperwork, and training is completed.
  • Enter and maintain data in HRIS; including all new hires, transfers, terminations, and other data entry to ensure accurate and complete information and reporting is available
  • Manage the probationary review process, supplying all departments with timelines
  • Manage step increase program, ensuring rates are processed on time
  • Manage benefits administration enrolments, terminations, and plan changes
  • Monitor data integrity between systems. Identify system issues and escalate to the appropriate team for resolution when required.
  • Provide direction and support to Supervisors for the completion of accurate timecards.
  • Complete various reports such as vacation entitlements, hires/departures, master employee reports, staffing reports, etc
  • Provide local support to the ANA Payroll department as necessary
  • Manages document control for HR policies, procedures, and job descriptions.
  • Participate in various Human Resources initiatives and projects in support of Company goals
  • Lead Social Committee planning and event coordination
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned, including backup support for temporary agency daily reports

Qualifications:

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Human Resources and working toward a CHRP or payroll designation is required
  • 13 years experience in HR related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment is required
  • Knowledge of ESA, Human Rights Code, OHSA, WSIB Regulations, and other related legislation pertaining to workplace Human Resources
  • Superior analytical skills with the ability to identify problems before they arise
  • Numerical aptitude and attention to detail are critical
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer knowledge, including working knowledge with HRIS and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
