  • Relationship Manager, Trust_
  • The Relationship Manager, Trust develops solid, longterm professional relationships with clients and prospects. They will identify, and refer new business opportunities to the Head of Client Management and will followup with existing customers in an effort to improve service and customer value._

Key Responsibilities:


To ensure TSX Trust service delivery mandate is achieved, develop relationships with Issuer contacts and understand and communicate the Issuer's service requirements internally.- The Relationship Manager is responsible to communicate and coordinate servicing and operational activities with the appropriate departments within the organization.- Day to day direct interface with clients, including their counsel and advisors and oversee the administration of a portfolio of Issuer Clients.- Assist clients in scheduling and preparing for Shareholder meetings including- Review of completed Proxy Planning Guide to ensure all requirements and timeline deficiencies are communicated to the issuer or their advisors- Advise/guide clients of regulatory requirements- Coordinate and advise client and finance of advance funds required for mailings and other applicable services- Advise appropriate parties of potential corporate actions to be approved at meetings and their impact at TSX Trust- Track voting requirements & prepare tabulation report Attend and prepare Scrutineer's Report for submission to the Chair of the Meeting- Prepare for closings, review agendas, provide confirmations and other required documents.- Attend equity closings.- Identify, interpret and communicate special service requirements of clients- Coordinate Terminations and liaise with successor transfer agent to provide records and with the client to ensure documents, instructions and payments are received- Enforce and monitor reservation orders, normal course issuer bids and caps on capital.- Liaise with clients regarding treasury order deficiencies and legend removal on transfers.- Client requests, including preparation of statistical & shareholder reports- General inquiries, including confirming issued and outstanding shares- Ensure updated certificate of incumbency is on file, AML/KYC requirements are completed.- Update client information, contacts on Salesforce (or other databases).- Gain knowledge of the services that TSX Trust provides to present to clients, including printing, virtual meeting- services, depositary, warrant agency, debt trusteeship, escrow agency services, etc.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Must Have:

  • College diploma or university degree in Business Management, or equivalent experience 5 to 7 years' experience in the financial services industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, required
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with senior officers of corporations and a strong desire to develop and maintain positive client relationships
  • A good solid understanding of the securities industry and capital markets

Nice to Have:

  • Canadian Securities Course, preferred
  • Bilingual English/French, an asset
