Technology Risk and Compliance Specialist

Specific Responsibilities include:
- Drive consistency developing and maintaining technology policies & controls framework, technology & risk management process and Cyber Security training and awareness.
- Assist in providing a holistic view of technology risk across the company and contribute to the evolution of Bison Transport's technology risk management strategy.
- Promote technology risk safety culture across the company.
- Support the design, implementation, and testing of technology controls.
- Support key technology risk management areas such as information security, operations, technology resiliency, and technology delivery & recovery.
- Track, receive and consolidate updates on all technology issues, audit findings, and policy/standard exceptions.
- Assist in preparing reports on technology risk and metrics (KRIs, KPIs, etc.) for executives.
- Provide guidance to Technology teams in the design, implementation, and continuous monitoring of controls that reduce a broad spectrum of technology operational risks.
- Assist in ongoing monitoring of compliance with policies and standards and enforce compliance with policies and standards.
- Foster, advocate for and strengthen Bison Transport's overall technology risk posture.
- Build and maintain a backlog of technology risk remediation work supported by a governance lifecycle and the implementation of management tools.
- Support supplier risk testing activities including reviewing SOC2 and ISO 27001 results.
- Support the review and challenge of exceptions to Bison Transport technology risk policies and standards.
- Actively participate in tabletop exercises, disaster recovery drills, and provide recommendations as part of lessons learned.
- Good understanding and experience of working IT Information Security Risk & Compliance.
- Basic understanding of cloud technologies and Software as a Service.
- Good problem solving, and communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Basic understanding of CIS v8 policies and framework.
- Understanding of monitoring and alerting systems.
- Problem solving and execution skills.
- Project management concepts.
