**Job Summary: **Vale has a great opportunity available for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our production team as
Maintenance/Service Technician. Vale Industries is a fast-paced, collaborative environment with lots of opportunity for

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inhouse Equipment
  • Lead internal maintenance and preventative maintenance program
  • Learn all aspects of all production machinery
  • Repair equipment as required
  • Hire outside vendors when required
  • Help equipment suppliers with new equipment installs (ie. paint gun install)
  • Perform inspections as required
  • Provide lists of parts/services required for maintenance
  • Other tasks as required from time to time
  • PDI on Assembled Product
  • Perform final inspection of assembled product
  • Documentation
  • Report out results and ensure NCRs are followed up on and closed
  • Assist yard forklift operator loading of large units
**Education and Qualifications: - High School diploma or equivalent

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics
  • A broad knowledge of the selection and the operation of machines, equipment, and tools that will be used in the
satisfactory performance of duties

  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills
**Knowledge Areas and Experience: - Strong group work and communications skills

  • An organized and diligent work style
  • Good people skills and the ability to communicate well with customers
  • Mechanically inclined and have good knowledge of tools and their capabilities
  • An intuitive technical/mechanical understanding of machines
  • Heavy Duty/ Agricultural Equipment Mechanic/ Millwright experience an asset
