The Position:

Neelands Group Limited is searching for a Cable Technician to join our team at the Burlington, Ontario location. This is a regular, full-time union position with a full union compensation package.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and install LVT communication cable
  • Terminate and secure cables
  • Read and understand Blueprints
  • Verification of system
  • Installation of related components
  • Understand and advise management of inventory levels
  • Stock transfer to specific job
  • Follow direction of Project Manager
  • Be able to work unsupervised
  • Mentor and direct junior Cable installer
  • Interact with Site supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the HVAC/Refrigeration controls, telephone, alarm fields
  • 24 years' experience in one of these fields or similar is an asset but not necessary
  • Work in the construction industry
