*The areas of treatment conducted by a CDA include augmentative and alternative communication, receptive and expressive language, articulation, phonology, fluency, voice, hearing, oral rehabilitation, literacy and pragmatics. The role also includes preparation of therapy materials to assist SLPs, planning of therapy sessions for clients on the CDA caseload, assistance with program management and waitlist, as well as promotional activities.

This position may be required to work with children and youth with a complex profile of needs to deliver an interdisciplinary approach to care with community partnering agencies in an outreach capacity in the home, community or school.

A sound understanding and skill in the practice of Communication Disorders with an interest or background in autism, preschool or school based rehab services

  • Ability to work effectively with children, youth and families both in-person and virtually through video-enabled telepracticing
  • Bilingualism considered an asset
  • Access to a vehicle and possession of a driver's license valid in Ontario
*This position is a member of the bargaining unit which is represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, and as such will be bound under the terms of the collective agreement.
