We are looking for a Groundsperson to join our team. We have high standards for safety, and work to do our job efficiently and accurately.

This work involves a variety of jobs and job sites and the ability to work effectively as a team member, following direction while adhering to company and industry safety standards and policies.

We enjoy an easy going atmosphere with a close-knit and positive team environment. Customer service skills are an asset. Experience is welcome, though being keen and energetic with a willingness to learn can be an even greater asset. A great attitude is definitely required.


The jobs are varied and range from falling dangerous trees, to crane work, rigging, bucket truck work, hedges, emergency work and all things in between.


As a member of the team, your crew leader will direct the crew members for each job while adhering to safety and best practice standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn, comprehend, abide by, and enforce all safety rules, industry and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate high safety standards.
  • Ability to follow direction, procedures and standards safely and accurately.
  • Operate a chainsaw safely and work towards proficiency.
  • Responsible for assisting in the proper maintenance, preparation and operation of all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
  • Learn and become proficient in felling and bucking trees of varying sizes.
  • Learn proper pruning, trimming and rigging skills.
  • If interested, learn to climb trees of varying sizes safely and proficiently.
  • Communicate effectively and positively with crews and customers.
  • Learn and assist in managing customer service expectations.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

  • Great attitude and ability to work in all weather.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Safety orientated.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Experience working outdoors in all kinds of weather is an asset.
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively with the crew, management and customers.
  • A great attitude
  • An interest or experience in the field of tree or landscaping work is an asset but not required.
  • A current driver's license or Class 5 is an asset but not required.

Compensation based on qualifications and experience but around $20-$25 per hour
