Department Overview


The Insurance Analytics and Modelling team provides analytics and predictive models driven advice and counselling service to internal stakeholders, thereby enabling colleagues to have the right information to make business decisions impacting different stages of the insurance cycle and to improve customer journey.


Reporting to the Manager of Customer Advice Center (CAC) Analytics, the Modelling and Forecasting analyst will utilize analytical, statistical, and programming skills to build machine learning models and analysesto support our customer center's operations and activities.


The individual will collaborate closely with a team of data scientists, statisticians, and actuaries, alongside our partners and stakeholders building analyses to strategically align to our business needs and deliver great value.


  • Lead endtoend advanced analytics model development; from data gathering and exploration to machine learning model coding and optimization, and finally to deployment and performance assessment.
  • Build a strong relationship with our partners; collaborate with business leads to develop understanding of the models, engagement towards the analytic strategy.

Job Requirements
A degree is required, preferably in the field of Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Actuarial Sciences, Economics/Business.

  • 2+ years of professional experience.
  • Fluent in several programming languages, big data tools and infrastructure like; SQL, Python / R, PySpark, Jupyter Notebooks, Hadoop, Azure, Bitbucket.
  • Strong data mining and relational database design skill. Experience working with structured and unstructured data.
  • Analytical, rigorous and high attention to detail.
  • A strong collaborator who can work alone or in team who is highly selfmotivated with a positive attitude.
  • Languages: English with French an asset

It's Great if you have:

  • Understanding processes like Erlang model C, simulation and queuing models, and other call traffic modelling is preferred.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and model validation practices.
  • Experience within Insurance an asset.
