Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement ageappropriate curriculum and activities to promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth
  • Provide individualized attention and support to meet the unique needs of each child
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
  • Assess and monitor the progress of each child, documenting observations and maintaining accurate records
  • Utilize effective classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and engagement
  • Stay updated on current trends and best practices in early childhood education

Qualifications:

  • Certified Early Childhood Educator IT, ECE or ECEA in BC
  • Clear of Criminal Record Check
  • 2 references
- at least 1 year experience working with young children in childcare settings

  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to effectively plan lessons and manage classroom activities
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to create a positive learning environment
