Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop human resources policies and procedures;
  • Manage employee relations and maintain confidential staff records;
  • Create and maintain company policy manuals while ensuring consistency of practices;
  • Remains up to date on trends and human resource issues;
  • Provides advice and guidance to management on human resource issues;
  • Evaluate and administer benefit programs;
  • Oversee the recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding;
  • Coordinate vendor relationships and negotiate contracts;
  • Facilitate company change initiatives;
  • Ensure compliance with Ontario Employment Standards Acts, rules and regulations, other application legislation;
  • Develop, manage, and maintain Occupational Health & Safety programs and Emergency Response Plans;
  • Organise and coordinate special events;
  • Perform year end payroll reconciliations; and
  • Additional duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Human Resource Generalist experience in a law firm;
  • Strong technical abilities and proficiency with MS Office;
  • Strong leadership, time management, and problemsolving abilities; and
  • Excellent communication skills.
