_ What's the job?_


The Human Resources Coordinator will provide Canadian organizational support to the National HR department and function, inclusive of talent acquisition, payroll and benefits administration for the salary and hourly employees.

The position will also be responsible for supporting the onboarding process, employee orientation and assisting and working with the HR team with any HR organizational program.

Accountable to the preparations of various reports, data-mining, filing and system inputs and updates, and full day to day HR support as required in the department.

This person will also contribute to employee engagement initiatives and social events, as a leader of our social committee.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Responsible for Post hiring process and onboarding;
  • Provides Human Resources support for multiple unionized & nonunion locations within Canada;
  • Maintains HRIS by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, changes in job classifications, merit increases;
  • With a customer centric approach responds to various employee inquiries;
  • Participating in projects teams as needed by clarifying project objective;
  • Data & Reporting: Responsible for compiling the dashboards, headcount reports; conducting data analysis of various HR metrics as requested;
  • Administers benefits tasks and recordkeeping; Takes part in employee safety, welfare, wellness;
  • Assisting with the daytoday efficient operation of the HR office;
  • Administers monthly statements/payments for various vendors and benefit administration;
  • Supporting HR's Digital Journey with efforts in digitizing files and processes;
  • Participate and assists in company events (ie) social committee.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Assists with Employee Award Program by acting as liaison between employees and OC Tanner; conduct monthly report review; review and process monthly billing;
  • Member of the Health and Safety Committee; in charge of preparing monthly safety report for the corporate safety coordinator;
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential;
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations;
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments;
  • Manages employee different discount/benefit programs such as Fitness Reimbursement, Education Assistance and Product Rebate program;

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

What do you bring?

_ Required_

  • Must have a postsecondary degree or Certificate preferably in Human Resources;
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment;
  • Must have solid problem solving skills;
  • Must possess strong computer skills; these include Microsoft Office tools. (Excel proficiencies is required); HRIS;
  • Excellent communication skills. (Bilingualism would be an asset);

PREFERED OR DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working toward CHRP designation
  • Familiarity with HRIS system, preferably PeopleSoft
