Under the limited supervision of the Principal(s), and the general supervision of Counsellors, the incumbent will perform relatively complex stenographic, record keeping and/or clerical tasks to ensure the efficient operation of a counseling office.
This position is responsible for attendance on the MYEdBC System, as well as for providing support to the Counselling Office.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Acts as a Receptionist and interacts on an ongoing basis with both internal and external contacts as a central information source.
Processes incoming and outgoing mail.
Maintains academic records, course information and changes.
Records demographic information.
Processes student records as each student enrolls in or transfers out of the school.
Ensures that relevant information is transmitted to appropriate internal and external agencies as required.
Word processes, files and/or duplicates a variety of materials.
Transcribes dictation and/or composes correspondence.
Prepares detailed reports.
Collects cash and issues appropriate receipts, as required.
Types, files and/or duplicates a variety of materials.
Prepares detailed reports.
Maintains general record keeping systems.
Routinely cleans and operates various types of office equipment.
Places service calls.
Maintains on-site inventory of office supplies and equipment.
Other assigned job related duties.
