The role will involve working on design and project management of industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and residential buildings, including modifications, upgrades, and new structural systems.
  • Structural engineering design in an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) office.
  • Provide detailed engineering design and construction support services.
  • Collaborate with a multi-discipline team on engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, reports, inspections, and project documentation.
  • Assist in cost estimates, schedules, material specifications, bid documentation, and project reporting.
  • Regular communication with clients, vendors, and contractors, including travel to client offices and field facilities.
Qualifications:
  • Registration with a Canadian professional engineering association.
  • Experience in engineering design and project management for Commercial and/or Oil and Gas facilities. PMP accreditation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ABC, NBC, CSA A23.3, CSA S16, CSA 086, CSA S304, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with MS Projects and Visio is beneficial.
  • AutoCAD and structural engineering analysis software knowledge is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
