***: The Logistics Planner position coordinates all activities of shipping and receiving with emphasis on accuracy, timeliness and service.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Community College Diploma or certification in Supply Chain or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum three years' experience in a logístical supply chain environment, preferably automotive;
  • Effective verbal and written communication;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Proficient in computer use;
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality;
  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Ability to work overtime to meet customer needs;
  • Must work well under pressure with the ability to multitask
  • Critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Knowledge of international shipping is an asset
  • Knowledge in logistics and transportation laws

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and conduct Inbound logistics routing;
  • Track performance of carriers through the QPF process and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Complete RFQs for large logistics contracts and specialized expedites;
  • Conduct sourcing and onboarding new carriers. Develop relationships with suppliers, carriers, and brokers
  • Perform training and support for coordinator team to improve the shipping & receiving functions;
  • Monitoring and optimizing logistics routing and processes including load and unload times for the dock schedule;
  • Provide logistics impacts for new program launch through CPMP;
  • Submit logistics impacts for ECNs;
  • Monitoring and optimizing dock and material flow; dock schedule attainment and dock capacity studies to look for improvement opportunities;
  • Familiar with USMCA customs compliance;
  • Support vendor solicitation for USMCA completion. Monitor and manage due dates;
  • Support service packaging and planning;
  • Responding to and tracking logistics violations related to service;
  • Monitoring customer portals;
  • Invoice management and cost tracking;
  • Follow and comply with all Operational Procedures and Policies as outlined in the Employee;
