We are currently seeking a motivated, reliable, and outgoing team player to join our Parking Patrol and Customer Service team, located in downtown Halifax.


WORK SCHEDULE:

The successful applicant will have a regular schedule of 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday to Friday. Additional hours or different shifts are occasionally be required as operations dictate. This includes overnight, and weekend shifts, of up to 12 hours in length.

JOB DESCRIPTION:


During your shift, you will be responsible for completing a variety of general cleaning, customer service, and patrol duties at one or more of our parking locations.


This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Changing garbage's
  • Picking up litter
  • Sweeping & Mopping
  • Wiping down touch points
  • Dusting
  • On foot, patrol parking lots to conduct enforcement, and provide assistance to customers.
  • Take ownership and leadership of the overall parking operations for the locations assigned, while abiding by the standards and norms of Indigo.
  • Inspect the parking area to verify that equipment and lighting function properly, that cars circulate without problems, that there is a sufficient quantity of supplies necessary to the proper functioning of the parking lot.
  • Completing minor equipment repairs as required, and minimizing any downtime to parking operation.
  • Provide assistance in person and remotely to customers in the use of the automated parking equipment, recognizing and respecting the individual needs of each customer.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • High level of interpersonal skills, including poise and diplomacy.
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools for making repairs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
We provide free uniforms and paid training.

Employment is conditional on successfully passing a criminal record check.
